Leadership Midland

Leadership Midland is a program begun by the Midland Chamber of Commerce to develop community leaders. With over 1,000 graduates, the footprints of this program can be seen throughout Midland. Our Vision: Leadership Midland is a prestigious organization whose alumni are firmly entrenched in every facet of our community. Our Mission: The mission of Leadership Midland is to acquaint participants with all facets of our unique city and encourage emerging leaders to commit to community service. Leadership Midland is a program begun by the Midland Chamber of Commerce to develop a deeper understanding of the community. Participants in the Leadership Midland program commit to a ten-month course of learning that involves one full day a month out in the community. Beginning with a day of orientation and team-building in September, classes will learn about such topics as Project Planning, Design of City, Transportation, Leadership Training, Housing, Social Services, Education, Government, Energy, Industry, Agriculture, Arts, Recreation and Healthcare. Participants gain invaluable information and build relationships with other leaders through the curriculum and class projects. Participants learn how our city's institutions work, giving them a view of the “Big Picture”.
